RHINOPLASTY
Eyes are the most beautiful and striking part of the face. The aim of rhinoplasty (nose aesthetics) is to emphasize the eyes by providing a nose appearance suitable for facial anatomy. However, a successful rhinoplasty surgery is only possible if the shape of the nose is compatible with the face and personal expectations, as well as preserving and improving breathing, smell and the functions of sinuses.
Every face is different, in this case, the anatomy of the nose varies from person to person and therefore rhinoplasty is one of the most difficult and complex surgeries. The fact that the anatomy of the nose and face is unique to the individual requires the use of personalized techniques. There is no standard face, standard nose and standard rhinoplasty.
EAR AESTHETICS (Otoplasty)
Otoplasty is the name given to of the surgery performed to correct the appearance of an overly prominent auricle, also known as prominent ear. Prominent ears cause social and psychological problems especially in childhood. As they grow up, children who enter social environments such as nursery, kindergarten and school may be subjected to harsh reactions and criticism due to the appearance of their ears. Being ridiculed and excluded in friend environments can lead to problems in self-confidence and personality development; it can cause communication disorders, school failure and a decrease in self-confidence. Adults may also need otoplasty surgery to get rid of an appearance that may be perceived as a disadvantage in social environments, to be able to tuck their hair over their ears or to cut their hair short comfortably. The aim of the surgery is to make the ears less prominent, similar in appearance and more natural. Otoplasty is a very common surgery in ENT clinic.
ADENOID AND TONSIL OPERATIONS
Adenoids is located behind the nose, on the back of the small tongue, begin to form in the womb and are present in almost everyone in childhood, disappearing with age, usually with puberty. Not all adenoids require treatment; however, if it grows too far forward and causes sleeping problems as the mouth open, snoring or breathing disruptions such as apnea, or if it moves sideways and causes fluid accumulation behind the eardrum, frequent otitis media or hearing loss, it should be followed up by an ENT specialist. It is followed up for shrinkage with some medical treatments, and cases that do not respond to treatment should be operated.
SLEEP APNEA
Sleep apnea is a serious sleep disorder in which breathing stops suddenly for at least 10 seconds during sleep. Obstructive sleep apnea occurs due to factors that cause obstruction in the upper respiratory tract and can be seen in all age groups.
The main symptoms are; loud snoring, apnea attacks witnessed by someone else, sudden waking up from sleep with a feeling of suffocation, dry mouth or pain in the throat when waking up in the morning, insomnia despite the long sleep period, inability to wake up refreshed and rested, frequent headaches, frequent sleepiness during the day, sleepiness in traffic and / or at work, depressive mood or irritability and attention problems.
MEDICAL AESTHETICS PRACTICES
With the advancement of age, natural and artificial factors cause the skin to lose its old appearance. Medical aesthetic applications offer treatment without the need to go under the knife. The biggest advantage of these applications is that they do not require a long recovery period and return to daily life in a short time.
One of the most frequently used methods within the scope of medical aesthetic applications is Botulinum toxin injection. Botulinum toxin is a neurotoxic protein formed by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It causes soft paralysis in muscles by preventing the release of substances that provide transmission from nerve endings. This injection is used to reduce and/or prevent the formation of wrinkles on the face caused by the movements of the mimic muscles, to reduce complaints of teeth clenching and migraine disorders, and to reduce sweating in excessive sweating areas.
